Bringing Support to Rural America – Program Helps Farmers Win More Than

$3 Million in Donations for Their Local Communities
Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Communities Program provides opportunity for farmers to make a difference in rural communities nationwide

  • From Aug. 1 – Nov. 30, South East Arkansas eligible farmers can enroll in the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program to win a $2,500 donation to direct to a local eligible nonprofit organization

  • The America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, provides farmers the opportunity to support and give back to a nonprofit of their choice.

  • Since 2010, the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program has given more than $22 million to nonprofits across rural America.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (March 27th) – Rural communities are the backbone of America, and starting on Aug. 1, 2017, eligible farmers in South East Arkansas will have the opportunity to win a $2,500 donation to direct to a local eligible nonprofit organization. As part of the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, more than $3 million dollars of financial support will be provided to nonprofits across rural America in 2017.

Since the program began in 2010, the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program has awarded more than $22 million in donations to a broad cross-section of organizations that reflect the makeup and character of rural America, including emergency response organizations, schools, youth agriculture programs and many others.

“We are excited to team up with farmers once again to help support the causes that mean the most to them and that have an impact in their local communities,” said Al Mitchell, Monsanto Fund president. “Because of their commitment to this program, thousands of nonprofit organizations have been able to enhance the important programs and services they provide, having a positive impact on the communities they serve.”

Program Helps Farmers Direct More Than $3 Million to Nonprofits across Rural America

To show the true impact of a $2,500 donation, Chicot county farmer Pete Poole (Pete Poole Farms) directed a donation to the Delta Men’s Association, where the funds were used to purchase three Avantco full size non-insulated heated holding cabinets.  This will give the Delta Men’s Association the ability to keep the food warm during the annual Wild Game Supper (last weekend of January that benefits the Arkansas Children’s Hospital) until the last guest has gone through the serving line.

Farmers can enroll in the America’s Farmers Community Outreach program from Aug. 1 to Nov. 30, 2017. Online enrollment, as well as a complete list of program rules and eligibility information, can be found at or by calling 1-877-267-3332 toll-free. Consumers can follow Grow Communities on Facebook to learn more about the program at
